Your financial life is always changing and we will ensure we are moving with you.
What to expect when engaging with us
1. DISCOVERY & FOUNDATION REVIEW (FACE TO FACE – 60 MINUTES)
Our first meeting together is really a ‘chat’. Where are you today, what foundations you have in place and an overview of your current situation. We will collect some high level information from you, such as current cash flow system, income levels, any debts, superannuation, children and existing protection in place. We will ask what is important to you, both for the future and also if the unthinkable did occur. These are all steps to clearly identify what advice is most appropriate for you. Most importantly, you can get to know us and we can let you know if we feel we can add value!
2. ADVICE PREPARATION (WE WORK BEHIND THE SCENES)
Before we begin, we ask that you commit to us before we start any work. We’re not after anything signed or a serious written agreement, just a “good will” verbal agreement. We feel if we do not get this verbal agreement – we may have missed the mark on the value we can add. Once you’re confident to move forward, we will then review and analyse your current situation, goals, objectives and existing arrangements. We will generate a roadmap tailored specifically for your needs and put our recommendations in writing to you. We do this in a way to educate to you, to ensure you can make an informed decision.
3. PRESENTATION (FACE TO FACE – 60 MINUTES & 10 BUSINESS DAYS LATER)
We will present our recommendations to you and, more importantly, we will detail and explain why the recommendations have been made. This presentation stage is an educational experience as we explain how the recommended strategy works to benefit you. It is part of our core philosophy that our financial advice be understood. There is no pressure to agree to any of the recommendations just because we say so – you must make an informed decision.
4. IMPLEMENTATION PREPARATION (WE WORK BEHIND THE SCENES)
Once we present our advice and answer all questions, our clients usually give us informed consent to proceed. We then prepare any paperwork that may be required to implement our advice.
5. IMPLEMENTATION MEETING (FACE TO FACE – UP TO 60 MINUTES & 10 BUSINESS DAYS LATER)
This is the easy part. Sit back and we’ll work through all the documents ready for you to complete. We make this step as easy and seamless as possible. Again, it’s a good chance to ask any questions and for us to further educate you on what we are putting in place… and why!
6. IMPLEMENTATION & CONFIRMATION (WE WORK BEHIND THE SCENEs)
We will implement all recommendations. We follow up with all parties involved (may be your accountant, solicitor or external providers) and review everything is in place as per our recommendations. We will also let you know once everything is finalised.
7. FOLLOW UP (3 MONTHS AFTER IMPLEMENTATION)
It’s been three months since we implemented our recommendations. We will reach out to confirm that it’s going smoothly at your end. This is also another chance to ask any questions.
8. PARTNERSHIP (ONGOING RELATIONSHIP)
As you and your own situation develops and evolves over time, so too must the strategies which form your plan. We partner with you over the years ahead to ensure you reach your goals. We also use this time to update you on any significant legislation amendments that may affect you. Feel free to contact us between reviews if your circumstances change; the sooner we address this, the sooner your goals will be back on track.
